Beantown Beatdown On Saturday the Sharks looked like the team they were expected to be. After a disappointing weekend trip to Feasterville where they went 3-3, the Sharks regained their form and did not hold back. In a delayed start due to weather and traffic the Beantown Braves came in for their games looking to get something going. What they got was a clinic. The scoring opened up early as Kenny Baldwin scored on the power play at 11:27. Power play goals were a theme in the first game as the Sharks scored 7 times on the man advantage. The first half was a complete team effort as the goals were shared across the team with tallies from Mike Prainito, Eric Gomes, and Alex Nelson. The Sharks even had goals 4 seconds apart and 4 in a minute and 30 second span. The second half was more of the same highlighted by a natural hat trick by Ken Baldwin with all 3 coming on the power play. In the end the Sharks won by a lopsided 13-1. Game two of the set didn't look to be any different. The Sharks came out firing right away. Going in the half the Sharks were coasting with an 8-0 lead. Goals by Kenny Baldwin, Greg Thompson, Chad Dasarro, Mike Prainito and Eric Gomes. The second half was more of the same as the Beantown Braves were way over matched all night. The Sharks tallied another seven goals with Kenny Baldwin leading the way with six goals on the night while Mike Prainito had four. The Sharks look to face some stronger competition this weekend as they travel across the county lines into Nassau to face their rival Long Island 495ers. Tickets available at the door as the games will be held at Skate Safe America on Sunday the 22nd. |
