After only three weeks of practice, the newly formed 8 and under Sharks test the waters.
"This is their first venture as a team" stated Coach Rob Mannino. This is a quick summary for this team. All draft players from Sports Arena's 8 and under league, from three different teams, showed interest in playing in tournaments. My nephew wanted to play, so off we went asking kids on all teams "Would you like to play, Would you like to play, Would you Like to play?" The next week, there we were practicing to play in a tournament.

Despite some of the negitive feedback, with only three weeks of practice, the young Sharks entered into the "pool" of teams. In their first game, they tied the Tour Road Runners White 4-4. In the second game the Sharks lost to the Tour Road Runners Black 8-1. In their third game, which was in the semi finals, the Sharks were defeated 6-1.

The Sharks played extremely well for in their first tournament. All the kids had a great time, made some new friends and created a name for their new formed team. Moving forward, we will resume practices this week and strive to make our team better. And the boys will continue to grow friendships and show them how to work together as a team. As an extra support, the players from our Major & Minor teams, will be helping their new teammates for support.
